Just in case you’re wondering:
I’m a husband, a father, and an ordained minister. I serve as pastor of Greensboro First Presbyterian Church, Greensboro, Alabama. I also work at Shelton State Community College as Instructional Support and eLearning Manager. I teach religion at Shelton State and history at The University of Alabama.
I’m a graduate of Beeson Divinity School at Samford University. I’m also old enough now to realize I don’t know everything and that I’m not infallible. If you want to know a bit about my beliefs, you can read the Essay on the Apostles Creed I wrote to apply to Beeson.
I post the audio from my sermons here.
I also write other articles based on questions posed by church members or other people.
- Salvation: Is God Counting Tears? Following the death of Pope John Paul II, questions of salvation raged in the CMUG (Christian Macintosh User Group) mail list. Here’s my response.
- The Radical Act of Faith: Praying “Our Father” This essay involves the powerful prayer Our Lord gave to us.
- The Real Need of the SBC I wrote this in 2014, and it saddens me that it’s still relevant all these years later. Some think the Southern Baptist Convention needs a “Great Commission Resurgence.” I think they need to settle a more pressing issue first.
I’ve posted a few sermons on this site. You can email me if you’d like to receive other sermons.
